Terms of use
The agreement between your business and Varynt for using Varynt Invoice. Written to match how the product actually works — sales-led setup, no card on file, and documents that are yours.
Effective date: To be set on publication. A draft pending legal review — see the first section.
01This is a draft
These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and the contracting entity, address and jurisdiction below are still to be confirmed. They describe the product accurately; they are not yet an offer you can accept.
02Who the agreement is with
Varynt Invoice is provided by Varynt (India). "You" means the business whose workspace it is — not the individual who happens to sign in. The person we invite as the workspace's Owner accepts these terms on the business's behalf and confirms they may.
03How a workspace is set up
There is no self-serve signup. We create your workspace from the business and GST details you give us and invite a named Owner. You are responsible for those details being correct — your legal name, address, GSTIN, PAN and registration type are printed on every document you issue.
More than one business. If you run several businesses, each one is a separate workspace with its own GST details, its own numbering and its own records — and its own plan, its own fee and its own invoice from us. We raise additional workspaces on request, and there is no control in the product that adds one. Running more than one is part of Business and Enterprise; if the workspace you already have is on Starter we will ask you to move it up before we raise another.
04Your documents are yours
Quotations, invoices, clients, items and payments you record are your business records. We process them only to run your workspace. The GST treatment the product applies (tax type from place of supply, numbering, printed fields) follows the rules it describes, but you remain responsible for your own tax compliance and filings; the product is not tax advice.
- An issued invoice cannot be edited or deleted — only cancelled, keeping its number. This is deliberate and we will not alter it on request.
- Features marked "Being built" are not part of what you are buying until they ship.
05Money between you and your clients
Varynt Invoice does not collect, hold or move money. Your clients pay you directly, by UPI or bank transfer to the details on your invoice. We are not party to those payments and cannot reverse, chase or guarantee them. Payments you record are records you make.
The same is true of Banking. There is no connection to any bank: you import a statement you downloaded yourself, and what the product then holds is your own record of it. Matching, categorising and reconciling are bookkeeping, not accounting advice, and the figures they produce remain yours to check.
06Fees
Your plan's monthly fee, plus GST, is invoiced to you in advance — monthly, or yearly at the discount stated on the pricing page. We keep no card on file and charge nothing automatically; you pay our invoice by bank transfer or UPI. Extra seats and invoice blocks are invoiced the same way. Viewer seats are free.
If an invoice is unpaid for 30 days after its due date we may suspend the workspace after telling the Owner by email. Suspension stops new documents being issued; it does not delete anything.
07Acceptable use
Use the product for your own business's genuine documents. Don't issue invoices for supplies that didn't happen, impersonate another business, attempt to read another workspace's data, or overload the service. We may suspend a workspace doing any of these.
08Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available and your data backed up, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. We may change or remove features; we will tell the Owner before removing anything a paid plan includes.
09Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before it, and we are not liable for indirect loss — including tax penalties arising from details you entered.
10Ending the agreement
Either side may end it with 30 days' notice. Before your workspace closes you can export or print everything; after it closes we delete your workspace data as the privacy policy describes.
11Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts in India.
12Changes to these terms
We will email the Owner before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the workspace after that date means accepting the change.
